Food Security |
Food Bank - People living in poverty and in need of food are welcome on Tuesdays between 11am and 1pm to pick up a bag of healthy groceries. Donations of food can be dropped off on Monday mornings 10:30 – 1:30 pm.
Soup Social – every Monday, Tuesday and Friday we offer a warm lunch from 11AM – 1 PM in the PHC dining room. Everyone welcome!

Coffee & Cards – every Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 pm during the colder seasons, drop by PHC for a game of Crib, Chess, Checkers, or other card games and enjoy a coffee, tea and a light snack

Community Gardens – at PHC we have four beautiful gardens, for details click here for garden information.
• A Food Bank garden that supplements our Food
Bank with 4 months of healthy, organic , fresh produce
• A Dragon
Garden – a place for seniors to socialize, grow food and enjoy some
exercise
• A Kids Garden – where children learn the benefits of
growing healthy food for themselves and donating some to the Food
Bank
• A Client Education Garden ~ Maegen's Garden – a certificate program for up to
12 participants per year where they learn how to plan, build, plant,
nurture and harvest their own organic food using The Square Foot
Gardening technique.
