Jan 14th from 1-4 pm, Phoenix Auditorium. People for a Healthy community is hosting a community meeting about affordable housing on Gabriola Island. The purpose of the meeting is to gather community input about affordable housing needs on Gabriola Island. There will be a short presentation about the preliminary results of the survey currently in circulation. This will be followed by world café style discussion groups for community members to provide their ideas. Our goal is to report back with a Gabriola Specific Affordable Housing Strategy that gives concrete actions to create affordable housing on our island.

Hope to see you there!!!!

Survey: People for a Healthy Community (PHC) and the Housing Task Force (HTF) are working in partnership towards the development of an Affordable Housing Strategy for Gabriola. Please consider filling out our survey which will allow community residents to help us identify gaps in availability of affordable housing, and help PHC and the HTF to move forward to effectively meet the needs of the community on housing issues.

Participation in this survey is voluntary, and the information disclosed will be kept confidential. All data will be used in a form that will make it impossible to determine the identity of the individual responders. We will protect your privacy but we need the information below to help us develop an appropriate Affordable Housing Strategy, access the necessary funding, and gain political support.
